Joren De Cooman is a circus artist and circus creator. After his studies at the Ecole Superieur des Arts de Cirque (ESAC), he was part of several bascule collectives with which he participated in several international circus productions, such as Cirque du Soleil, Circus Monti and Machine de Cirque.

Currently, he works both as a performing artist than as a circus creator. His work has a strong focus on connection and is situated at the crossroads between circus and participatory arts. Alongside this, he strives to reach an audience as broad and inclusive as possible.

Parallel to his artistic practice, he also values sharing his practice in a more direct way. As such, he is active with the circus atelier Circus Zonder Handen, where he teaches classes and co-led several artistic youth productions.
