Joren is one of the selected artists in the interdisciplinary research project Circus Without Circus. This project offers the opportunity to 18 emerging circus artists and artists from other art forms (from four countries: Belgium, France, Denmark and Croatia) to experiment in duo on the one hand and on to build a sustainable career on the other hand.

The participants are paired together as though in a blind date. These duos - each consisting of a circus artist and a non-circus artist - go into residence for two weeks to conduct artistic research.

​

To nurture the artists in various areas, a side track is planned with feedback sessions, show moments and meetings with professionals. A wider audience is also introduced to the artists through public presentations and a website where each artist shares his or her findings.
